Album Notes

Drawing from the classics of the rock era but steeped in the irony of Right Now, The New Suburbans have plenty to say about being the products of suburbia.

Born and raised in the shadow of New York City and the leafy suburbs of central Connecticut, The New Suburbans filter a unique cultural landscape where sex, drugs, and rock and roll are tossed in the blender producing a powerful suburban cocktail.

Molotov cocktail that is... The music careens from topics like divorce, self-obsessed girlfriends, drug abuse and handgun violence, to midgets (yes, midgets) and country-club discrimination (against aliens!). All is presented in this first CD release with tongue firmly in cheek.

The group is Dan Ash, Rowen Caplan, and Geoff MacAdie. Their musical collaboration has lasted longer than most marriages. The three sharpened their musical teeth with successful bar bands around the East Coast, all the while yearning for the cult success that has evaded them - until now...

Consider this, if you listen to this disc and it makes you happy, The New Suburbans are happy too! But if you buy a disc, we will then have enough money to eat.

Thanks for listening!!

REVIEWS

New Suburbans bring a fresh look at Rock/Pop songwriting.
author: David J Moore
This Cd is a fun and quirky Rocker ala Todd Rundgren/Utopia. The Playing and Production are first rate and the songs are well developed. MacAdie, Caplan and Ash are seasoned musicians and the quality of this CD is no surprise.
