A native of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Ney Rosauro has developed a successful international career as a percussionist, composer and pedagogue.

I had to do a review of this CD for my percussion lessons and I'm glad I was able to. Rosauro is an excellent composer and player. Both Concerto's are wonderful and masterfully played. This CD is a must have for mallet players

I heard the Rosauro's concerto for marimba and orchestra for the first time in Oxford, Ohio in December 2006 (at the Miami University)...I was electrified! When I went on line to get a CD of the music, I was so happy to be able to get it by the composer himself...there couldn't be a better interpretation...I love that concerto, and all the other pieces on the CD as well...Highly recommended!
