After hearing Nicholas playing in the subways of Chicago back in 1990 we knew we had to have Nicholas play for our wedding in '91. 17 years later and living in MN, we popped in to see Nicholas play with his trio in Chicago. With wedding pictures in hand we got reacquainted, purchased this album and found it an incredible companion on our drive back to the Twin Cities. This album rocks! Nicholas is a phenomenal artist and we are doing our best to spread the word up here in MN. Come and play in our neck of the woods, Nicholas. We'd love to have you. Keep creating, Nicholas. You are on the perfect road. Thank you for making music. -Tina

Nicholas Barron is one of the most soulful, genuine musicians I know. His music inspires me. The music and the man are one, there is no disconnection and the listener can feel that through this album.

this is the kind of album that i know i will listen to until i simply can't anymore, then in a few months after i havent listened in a while i will discover all new things about it and love it all over again. the sound is so raw and earnest, it is clearly a group of incredibly talented musicians doing this because they love it, and that is so refreshing.
