Album Notes

In summer 2006, I learned that the organizers of the 2007 National Catholic Youth Conference were holding a theme song contest to their theme "Discover the Way." So, I thought I would try to write it. After I finished a first draft, I was pleased, but felt it could be better. So, I asked my friend, David Smith, to help me make it better. His ideas really worked, and he recorded two rough versions of the song, which we entered into the contest. In October, we learned that the group of high school students had chosen our song!

Since we were going to get the opportunity to perform it in front of 20,000 people at the Nationwide Arena, and would be getting a booth to sell CDs, I decided to record my third CD with both versions of the song on it.

My performance of the song at the conference was quite a rush! Tom Booth and his band were awesome! But it cannot compare to being in the Arena while other singers throughout the conference led all the conference participants in singing it. Not only did 20,000 people sing this song, but, more importantly, they really PRAYED it!

I hope you enjoy the CD and that God speaks to you somehow through it. He certainly has spoken to me through it!
