notes
The bassist by trade can be seen performing with many artists such as Europe's hard rock queen Doro Pesch, ex-Iron Maiden vocalist Blaze Bayley's band "Blaze" and New York's Mike Rocket.
"Through The Pane" marks as being Nick's first official solo effort recorded almost entirely by himself. "Through The Pane", although not considered to be metal album, is a multi-influenced twelve song statement with a freedom and obscurity that an independent effort could offer. From rockers to ballads, technical to organic.
The first track, "You're A Miracle" was featured on ABC's daytime soap "All My Children".

Through The Pane (all songs)
author: Scott P.5 Stars all the way for Nick!!! Nick is the greatest down to earth person, writer, & performer in the past 20 years that I have ever had the privilege to meet. I wish I were able to hear more of Nick Douglas on the radio & especially in the U.S.A. Even though he is a Bassist by trade, he has the greatest, calming, and very easy listening voice to grab every audience. I am very surprised that Nick is not bigger than he is right now. Nick, hope to see you soon!
A Great Album By A Great Musician
author: Ronald WilshusenHaving met Nick at a Doro show last year,I was really interested to hear his solo effort.I was not dissappointed at all. This is a very good record.Nick shows what a talented songwriter/musician he is.I recommend this record to anyone who likes good melodies and great musicianship! This record is nothing like the metal he plays with Doro, which I Love, but it is a great Pop/Rock record.
One of the purest "Expressions of the heart" you will ever experience
author: RoxannelandAny fan of great lyrics and exceptional music will love this release. "Through the pane"....is whatever you could ask for in a great album: feeling, technique, passion, inventivness and energy. Rock music with fabulous work and lots of emotion ! Buy it !

A Unexpected Pleasure
author: T2I heard some of this cd on Nick's Myspace page and decided to buy it. What a surprise!-very different from what I expected and very good. A melodic pop sound? Happy and upbeat from the man in black with that red bass? Yup-and It's been the only cd in my player for a week now-I like it. Perfect driving music full of hooks and catchy rhythms. You'll find yourself singing along without realizing it. Buy it, Play it and expect your friends to ask Who IS that?
A mix not to be missed...
author: DeborahThis cd - is amazing!! Truly diverse from what is out and about in todays market. It has a genuine sound with an array of versatility, by musicial and by vocal stand points; Nick Douglas brings this work together and it really stands well above many, for it is and has true spirit. My personal favorite track is Away.
Excellant solo effort...
author: JoanieGreat CD...totally different than what I expected after seeing Nick perform with Chris Caffery. Love the mellow genre and Nick plays everything amazingly. But no one should be surprised at how well versed he is... Great talent and I look forward to his next effort.
A must have! This cd rocks!
author: RaffyI love this cd. Songs, lyrics, Nick's voice, the pic on the back cover, everything! Most of the songs are melodic rock and ballads but there are also songs of different kinds ("Just one kiss" has a lovely arabian rhythm). Note: this cd contains a Doro song (The last goodbye) sung by Nick. So, a must have for any Doro fan. :) I really can't stop listening to this cd. My favourite are: You're a miracle, Away, like the dreamers do, Judy. Thank you again! Raffy - from Italy :)
Very good Cd...Nick has a great voice and very talented
author: MelindaThis Cd is completely different than a Doro cd...but it's a very good cd....Nick has a very good smooth sounding voice...he's very talented...he played everything...from Drums to guitar to keyboards...very talented...with some special guests here and there.... my Fav song on the cd has to be Away!!! Great song!!!!
awesome production and cd!
author: Mike RocketNick's CD has helped me want to be come an all around musician. Nick not only writes great lyrics and melodies, but plays all the instuments very well, sings both lead and backups, engineers and produces. Nick spends hours on every line. There's no instant of bs. Nick goes "though the pain" to create an awesome CD. Any true fan of rock music must own a copy of this CD. It has inspired me to write better songs.
good melodies, good songs, great lyrics
author: JolandaI didn’t know what to expect of this album, but I have to say it was a nice surprise. If you only know Nick as Doro’s bass player I would recommend listening to it first, as this is not the kind of stuff he plays there (although there still are plenty of guitars) but if your taste is a little broader than that you’ll love this album. Nick has a nice warm voice and it suits the music very well. Every song sticks in your head immediately (some even have brilliant melodies) and they have really good lyrics. Personal favorites (very hard to choose): Like The Dreamers Do, Turn Around, The Last Goodbye
