Album Notes

"...this is an excellent tribute and easily recommended, as is another CD, Nick Manson Trio (one that mixes together originals with a few standards) that is also on Manasus Music. Both are available from www.nickmanson.com."
-Scott Yanow, L.A. Jazz Scene, March 2007

All Ray Charles classics! 10 of them! Many different group configurations are featured to pull this magical rabbit out of the hat! This recording is a true labor of love for Ray's music. Capturing Ray's sense of romance and humor within an improvisational jazz setting was Nick's primary goal.

Vocal phenom, Roby Duke, sings soulfully on four Ray favorites; You Don't Know Me, I Can't Stop Loving You, Georgia On My Mind and
Oh, What A Beautiful Morning!

Brad Rabuchin, the newest addition to the Manasus Music collective, former touring guitarist with Ray Charles, plays incredible melody and solo guitar work on What'd I Say, Hit The Road Jack and It's Alright.

Plus Andy Suzuki contributed incredible reed and woodwind arrangements throughout the project, played impeccably,
as only he can do it!
