Big Ol' Moon by Nick Stika features some crafty hook laden folk/pop songs. The style on this CD range from traditional folk, to pop style acoustic rock. Nick hails from Iowa City, Iowa and has had influence from artists ranging from Greg Brown to the Beatles. He has performed with rock and country bands, but has spent the last 14 years focusing on writing and performing acoustic music. The title track teeters dangerously close to the blues, while the nostalgic piece 'Places' could be found on any traditional folk album. Big Ol' Moon has songs for literally any musical taste.
