Album Notes

On her 16th birthday, Nicole was presented with a guitar. That was the day it all began. Nicole has been writing songs ever since. Unlike a large amount of current bands, Nicole doesn't sing to impress people with cute, trite, fabricated songs; she sings from the heart. Every song is sincere and loaded with emotion, and she really tries to make you feel where she's coming from. That's what music should be about.

Her music has been influenced by: Barenaked Ladies, Guster, Neil Young, Jewel, Mike Nesmith, Kevin Hearn & Thin Buckle, and just about everything else. The music does not try to imitate these artists, but improve upon a structure they've set forth.

Nicole's music is very enjoyable becuase it comes from everyday events. These are the songs that you wish you wrote, because you know you've felt it at some point or another.

Great songs sung in such a refreshingly sincere manner. A beautiful CD from a beautiful artist-and I\'m not just saying that because she could totally beat the $#!% outta me either. I would say this CD would appeal to a wide variety of music lovers for sure.

I love "Late at Night." It is probably my favorite song from this CD. "Turning Back" is also a fabulous song. I prefer the live version complete with audience participation. That said, this is a wonderful first CD (well, it's not actually her first; I think I have that one downstairs!)...Nicole is a fantastic artist who shows great talent. Congrats on a great start!!

If only I'd had this CD before driving to Wisconsin, I'd probably enjoyed my road trip quite a bit more. Needless to say, this album is a must listen!
