Upon release, the lead cut, Ain't No Heartache, was the No. 1 Album Cut in Gavin Magazine's Country Cuts chart for four weeks in a row. She was right there alongside Travis Tritt and Deana Carter. "This is almost unheard of for an independent record label," said, Debbie Green, Erwin's promoter. "Earning any position in the Album Cuts is extremely difficult, especially when you are an independent artist, but Nicole has a lot of determination and persistence."

Erwin had well-received airplay on radio stations across the country and made appearances in San Antonio and at Nashville's Fan Fair. The biggest challenge was the financial backing it takes to go on tour.
