Well, we are active musicians living here, in Vancouver BC, Canada, the host of the 2010 Winter Olympics. A part of the Olympic Games is going to take place in Whistler which is about 123 Km (76 miles) North of Vancouver. Sea To Skyway is a spectacular mountain highway you must take to get to Whistler from Vancouver.

"Sea to SkyWay" is a song that invites you to join in the thrill of the upcoming games. Picture spectacular mountain views and share in the excitement of the athletes as they travel the Sea to Sky Highway to Whister, and onward in hopes of winning Olympic medals!

As we traveled the highway countless times, we can imagine the hype and expectations the athletes (and the spectators too) will feel as they travel the highway, the thrills of breathtaking mountain views and perils of rock slides… The idea behind the song is to put you, vicariously, in a car traveling between the Olympic events along the Sea To Skyway and “experience” the hype! At least one, grooving version of it!

About singer & songwriter Nicole Scoffield

Nicole Scoffield is a graduate of the University of Victoria School of Music. She is an accomplished violinist who has been performing and teaching in British Columbia for over 15 years. She plays in numerous bands and orchestras and is a rounded performer who composes, arranges, and sings lead.
