Night Friends' latest release "Lanthorns" expands on the universe of meditative space rock and synthesis. This third album is a much more experimental outing but retains the memorable sharp melodies that will keep you humming. Place the headphones firmly over your ears to soar through further aural investigations of space, time, the night and comic books. "Unwritten" sounds like a long lost collaboration between Chris Carter (TG) and Brian Eno while "For All Seasons" jets off into the territory that has been explored by artists on the Not Not Fun record label roster. You get everything from kraut rock to post rock on this release.
