Album Notes

Night Noise Team is the brainchild of Irish songwriter Sean Ormsby and French music producer Fabien Pinardon; who met in Edinburgh back in 2005 whilst playing for another band, KILO. It wasn’t long before they started to write music together, they headed off to Fabien's studio in deepest Leith, Edinburgh…NNT was born.

“Ronde de Nuit” is the first album from the duo..

Inspiration came from punk rock, funk, chansons and progressive disco. Sean’s lyrics are on a collision course with Fabien’s Parisian influenced arrangements, generating a surprising and colourful blend of electro-pop-rock.

Review from Scottish Daily Record, issue date - 15 February 2008:

'NNT make gorgeously dry Eighties-sounding rock. While Sean's arch lyrics and baritone vocals and the down-tempo beat are straight out of the Eighties decade, the guitars are often pure Radiohead creating an exciting hybrid sound.
Opening track MENOLICK sounds like Thom Yorke and co with its urgent guitar but, as the drums kick in and the song settles in, it turns into something else. Synths from movie Blade Runner thump down as Sean's flat baritone adds a touch of bored beauty-a bit Phil Oakey, a bit Gary Numan.
I CAN WAIT kicks in with a great dance beat and a song about a chap called Steven. CAFE NOIR has spoken lyrics about Leith Walk, while SIFTING SPRING is fast art rock. It's like the NEW Romantics had never left us.’
