When New Invisible Joy first appeared on the Pittsburgh music scene, they immediately began seducing fans, fellow musicians, and critics with their euro-textured sound and head turning live performances. The band's debut album, "Pale Blue Day", was dubbed "an aural masterpiece" by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review called it "inventive, creative, experimental, bold ... fresh and original ... a breathtaking collision of art and music." Riding the success of "Pale Blue Day", New Invisible Joy advanced their advanced their buzz among fans and industry with their second release - an eponymous, limited edition EP that was recorded at Globe Studios and Joe Blaney Music in Manhattan, and produced by Ed Tuton (Alana Davis, Maxwell, Eagle Eye Cherry).

With the release of their new album "Trust" in February of 2004, New Invisible Joy is once again reaping rave reviews from critics who say it is "a breathtaking album of anthemic pop songs not unlike the one that just won Record of the Year at the Grammy's," (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette) and "brimming with melody and confidence ... a joyous, easy listen," (Pittsburgh City Paper). "Trust" is distributed by New Invisible Joy's proprietary imprint, Goldwish Records (over 4000 albums sold to date).

Songs from "Trust" are currently being played on WXDX FM "105.9 The X" and the track 'Thursday Song' has been put into regular rotation on WYEP 91.3 FM - who also recently featured New Invisible Joy for a live, on-air performance. The band will kick off their '04 spring/summer tour in April with a live performance on Pittsburgh's number-one-rated morning radio show, the 'DVE Morning Show (102.5 FM), to a listening audience of more than 250,000.

Named Pittsburgh's Best Local Unsigned Band by Citysearch.com; New Invisible Joy has opened for several national acts and artists including: John Mayer, The Strokes, 30 Seconds to Mars, The Exies, The Calling, Flickerstick, Audiovent, Filter, Dave Navarro, and Hoobastank. National festivals they've played include: SurgeFest and X-Fest in Pittsburgh, PA at the Post-Gazette Pavilion; Locobazooka at the Fairgrounds in Altamont, NY (InsideSessions.com Showcase); and the MMC, the PMC and Toronto's NXNE Music Conference where reviewers from Chart magazine's ChartAttack.com called their performance "sheer gratification" with a "contagious attitude that was immediately picked up by the crowd... Excellent... Wow."

Most recently - the band has been tapped to appear on Volume 2 of The Best of the Songwriters Hall of Fame New Writers Showcase. That compilation will be released in May 2004 in New York City - and distributed to more than 800 top recording industry professionals at the Songwriters Hall of Fame Annual Awards Dinner in June.
