Born in CA but raised in northern VA, Nikki Hornsby (singer, songwriter, 12 string guitarist, recording artist & music business owner lic. 1987) is the Grand-daughter of Cheerful Dan Hornsby who recorded for Columbia Records songs like "Oh Susanna", "Little Liza Jane" & was he was the original voice of "Ark Traveler" many years ago. Unfortunately Nikki never met her grandfather before he died.

Nikki is a longtime professional member of the Academy of Country Music www.acmcountry.com & Nikki has been honored in the past with four different years nominations to their Board of Directors as a composer. Nikki Hornsby's previous CD release here on CD Baby is called "Reaching Out" of original country songs. It is called Positive country because the instrumentation is country but the message is one of Faith. This project was started when Nikki's Uncle wrote the lyrics to "The Power of the Lord" & "My God Is Your God" for her to add the music to record in order to raise funds for a heart transplant for her older brother. Unfortunately the financial backing & time to complete the project wasn't there before her older brother passed away not seeing the completed CD. The Mantra used at that time for "Reaching Out": Come Join the Positive Wave, Spread the Word, buy "Reaching Out" through CDBaby! Now there are two more CDs that followed this one.

Marty Rifkin plays many instruments on each of these "Reaching Out" songs as well as co produced it with Nikki. Repeating the same for "Just Wait" 2006 release. Marty also worked on Jewel's Gold & Platinum LPs plus worked in studio with other named recording artists like Tom Petty, & the Boss, as well. Nikki herself has been honored to work with many named professional musicians on her CJP-NHRecords previous radio charted releases as well as worked live on stage with many too. 2006 Nikki released TWO MORE CDs full of original professional recorded & commercially songs and plans to record at least 5 more full of her different writing styles of music.

Once a reporter said "Nikki has a clear, strong, vocal & writes songs ready for anyone to sing with strong hooks and melody lines." Her fulltime performance list & many letters of recommendation shows her abilities to reach her listeners live as well as hold their interest in all venues. She can duplicate this as well in the studio as you will see in "Just Wait" 2006 release of Pop, Jazzy Blues, Folk, one Country song & a straight Rock tune doing the background harmony vocals as well as her arrangement of different instruments in each song.

Reviews regarding "Draw the Line" from "Reaching Out" were favorably increased especially after Sept. 11th and this song was released on CRN Network reaching 11 million listeners and it was also used in a film called "Heart of the Beholder" in 2004.

President & Mrs. Bush have sent Nikki thank you notes for their special "Reaching Out" copy.

Govenor Arnold Schwarzenegger got advance copy of songs from "Just Wait" including the patriotic song "This IS America" responding with a nice thank you letter as well.

Los Angeles TV Channel 7 Weatherman Dallas Raines has also responded favorably in writing to "Reaching Out" and he also has his advance copy of a few songs from "JUST WAIT" being a fan of her music mentioning his family is as well.

The NARAS (Grammy) Organization is the only pier voting music recording industry organization that have high standards of membership that proof of releases required to join as a voting member. Nikki Hornsby joined in 2006 and her s430 Project "Just Wait" made the first ballot of the Grammy's in 8 categories in the year 2007.

Nikki as the sole owner of the company decided to make CJP-NHRecords into a corporation back in 2004 but the work she did herself on the s430 project delayed that until 2008. Now she holds 10k shares and there is a European office with a deputy CEO to handle the product outside the USA.
She offered to help another TIA Changing the Unsung Part project in 2008 which is still open to date which will take 20 unknown military related individuals into the professional recording music business with a 20 CD project.
There is a new project for 2009-2010 into 2011 is called MP3Project which currently is staffed with six looking for up to ten more marketing & promotion specialists to take the music into the licensing field .
