"Breathe" is taken from the SE Entertainment Records album, "A GIRL LIKE ME" by Nikkole.

“Breathe Inhale-Exhale short and quick, I’m waiting with baited breath…” that is exactly what you will be doing once you get a taste of this new stunna’ joint from Nikkole. “Breathe” the maxi-single has lined up 5 hot mixes for your listening pleasure from Smooth R&B and Urban to Neo-Soul and Hot Dance Club mixes. The first three mixes on the maxi-single, “Breathe – Inhale-Exhale” Radio Edit, “Breathe” Radio / Album Version and “Breathe – Inhale-Exhale – The SoulSkool Mix” are geared toward the Urban, R&B, Urban AC and Pop markets; while “Breathe – Nix 4-on-the-Flo Dance Mix” and “Breathe – Subject13 DnB – London Underground Mix” is for the Dance and Club formats.

This single hits at a time when Nikkole is enjoying the success of the Norman Brown album, “Stay With Me” which includes the radio friendly song, “You Keep Lifting Me Higher,” in which the lyrics, melody and vocal arrangement were written by Nikkole whose vocals are also featured on the song.

“Breathe” is taken from Nikkole’s critically acclaimed album, “A Girl Like Me,” which also spawned “It’s Too Late” featuring The Emotions and “Gon’ Bounce” both singles were well received in the U.S., Europe, Asia and Australia.

The lyrics, melody and vocal arrangement for “Breathe” were written and co-produced by Nikkole. Lloyd “Dub LT” Tolbert also served as producer on the track. In fact, Nikkole wrote and produced the entire track for “Breathe – Nix 4-on-the-Flo Dance Mix.” She looked to the European scene for the DnB mix of “Breathe,” which is “Breathe – Subject13 DnB – London Underground Mix.” This track was actually cut in London by DnB mastermind, Dave Stewart a.k.a. Subject13. The executive producers on the maxi-single are Ken Yasuda, Nikkole and Wallace Hall.
