Album Notes

"I was raised by an American actress mother and a father who had just come to this country from a life on the Greek Islands. An unusual blend of hundred year old values and 1960's theology helped make me a little...ummm different.

As a kid I gravitated toward music before I could talk. As a baby, I'd point to the grooves on my parent’s records to show them what song I wanted to hear. Soon I had my own record player and spent much of my days playing the same few records over and over. “Something New”, an obscure Beatles disk, was the one I was most drawn to.

Through the years, my obsession with music has taken me through many genres without fear of being labeled too hard, too campy or too anything. My interest in 60s’ rock and 80’s pop dominated though and soon led me to begin writing and recording my own songs. Like most teens that pretended to be musicians, I rigged up a couple of Radio Shack tape recorders, got some instruments and went to town.

Soon enough I was in my first band, “The Craze”, with “Blue Army"’s Neven Pesa, “25 To Life”’s Harry Menas and Swedish rocker Olle Linderholm. We recorded a library of rock tunes that I plan to re-release someday. I also recorded an experimental track called “Hellas Hellout” with bouzouki star Nikos Tatasopoulos that blended classic Greek instrumentation and American pop structure around the same time. It was a bit strange, but took off through Napster and made an impact in the Middle East.

The years have brought a refining of my recording abilities, song writing and production skills. My latest project, “Pandora’s Box” is a full length rock concept album that’s a blend of 60’s Beatle-esque rock, mid 70’s rock and state of the art progressive sounds. Recorded in Soho at PPI Studios, the band features myself with several brilliant musicians who have laid down hit music for the likes of John Lennon, The Mammas and Papas, James Brown and artists as eclectic as Yoko Ono and Andy Warhol. It was engineered and mastered by Chip Fabrizi who’s worked with artists as varied as Prince, Madonna, Britney Spears & Tom Jones. I hope you enjoy it! "
