The Loner Nils sings Neil
author: Walter Greenberg
I loved this album. It let me hear Nils acoustic guitar work which is great. The only thing I missed was maybe he might have rocked out a little more on Hurricane, although it is a nice take on the song. World on a String

Tonight's the Night was the first Neil Young album I ever bought. I was 16 years old when the album was released in '75. It took me a while, but I stuck with it. It didn't take me long to conclude that TTN is Neil's most beautiful album. Nil's, I'm glad that you covered World on a String on this fine CD, The Loner. Your cover of it is gorgeous! The entire CD, The Loner - Nils Sings Neil, is filled with the grace and beauty that is rarely heard in the music scene today. Nil's Lofgren's spare guitar and piano instrumentation and soul-searching vocals heighten and illuminate all 15 Neil Young songs. Stripped down to guitar and vocals, Nils handles each song with love and finesse. This is a must have CD!

Fantastic
author: Bill Quinlan
Being a long-time Nils and Neil fan, it was a no-brainer to get this one. And I wasn't surprised when I heard a very beautiful, sensitive, emotional album from Nils. Everything is right about this recording and I think repeated listening will bear out textures and subtleties that only Nils can get from a song. It's a stunning achievement from one of rock's great, unsung, heroes.

One word, "Awesome." Add another, "Lovely." I have bought several copies of this and sent them to close friends and business associates who give it the same review. Nils, keep up the terrific work.
