Excellent flautist of the highest musical calibra
author: Modrana Music PublishersThe flute pieces on this cd are a remarkable testiment to the vision and musical statue of not only the composers but also the performer Nina Assimakopoulos. This cd must surely be compulsary for any serious young flautist to study the wealth of new music for flute recorded. All these solo pieces for flute have a interesting and vibrant contribution to the flute repertoir. The Golightly pieces in particular contribute a fresh and vibrant language of musicality and interesting textures. All the pieces recorded though are worthy of performance and study by any serious solo flautist. Well done to Nina Assimakopoulos for having the courage and vision to record music of such statue and breath.
