Always expressive, technically flawless, and beautifully arranged, this latest album from Nina is a delight for the senses! More than an hour on 19 tracks, it is full of lovely hymns, Celtic masterpieces, traditional fare, and a couple of surprises! Her Blue Lion tuned to C has a deep richness matched only by the baritone she plays on a few numbers. Looking ahead to the holidays, this would make a lovely gift for some special folks, whether "dulcimer people" or just lovers of good music!

Wonderful sound, great pulse on the fast tunes, and consummate choral-like arrangements on the slow tunes. Abide with Me, Bonnie Doon, Castle of Dromore--to name just a few- are for the ages, and the whimsical and technically brilliant rendering of Clarinet Polka is a joy. This CD and Nina's prior one with Bill Collins, are on my short list of desert island CD's.
