Rap was not always a option for 9-1,his life consisted of gangbangin & selling drugs. Many of his closest friends were murdered, Nineone himself was sent to prison for attempted murder charges. While locked up he started rapping & battling fellow prisoners,it was then he noticed how people responded to his words. Upon his release from prison nine-one hit the studio & created a classsic album!. A 9-1 is a code for murder in the city of Chicago,and the name fits him perfect.
