BIOGRAPHY
Nizlopi is Luke Concannon and John Parker, two friends who’ve been writing and playing music together since their early teens. Luke handles the heartfelt lyrics, the endlessly soulful vocals, and his beloved guitar, while JP sets jaws-dropping with his masterful double-bass playing, his breathtaking human beat-boxing, and a little extra guitar playing of his own for good measure. Together these boys have created a genre defying sound all of their own that’s earned them plenty of love around the UK, and now America and Europe!
WHAT PEOPLE HAVE SAID ABOUT NIZLOPI:

I love this CD
author: karenI bought this CD after seeing the JCB video and the whole disk is amazing. These guys are very talented.
catchy and infectiously toe tapping
author: rinaHalf These Songs Are About You is an album that upon first listen you won't want to take out of your CD player except to share with friends. Catchy pop/folk riffs that are highlisted by the song JCB, a track which really showcases the range of these artists as it builds into a twangy upbeat ending. There are jazzy, reggae, and soul infuences throughout but don't hold your breath if you're looking for the R&B/beatbox element- it's there but for how frequently those terms are thrown around in reviews for this album it's pretty minor. Most of the album is mellow but leaves you feeling uplifted after a listening. If you're a fan of Jason Mraz, Jack Johnson, Tracy Chapman, or Counting Crows you'll enjoy this CD.
Fresh, Fun, Talented - Next big thing!
author: ClaudiaLike Angela said - the JCB song hooked me, but the rest of the album has sold me on this great new group. I'm hoping to see them in concert before they get too much recognition and too many awards to play a small venue in the US - but I fear that will not be the case because these guys are way too good!
definitely worth listenig to all the way through
author: angelaJCB is the song with a great video that seems to hook a lot of people; but the rest of the songs on the album make a strong case the whole way through. Lyrically it flashes out in some places and pleasantly understated in others- a perfect blend of specific antectodes that make it quirky, and overarching themes that make it relatable. Some other great tunes to check out on the album; Faith, Wash Away, Long Distance.
i am buying this album based on this video....
author: erinok, so if this album is half as good as this video, i know what everyone is getting for christmas. i love cdbaby for having it. watch the video. http://www.jcbsong.co.uk/jcbvideo.asp
Quality!
author: Diana GWhat an amazing cd! I've listened to it nonstop since I received it last week. Moving lyrics, great vocals and the beautiful sound of an upright bass . It's unlike anything you've heard. A real breath of fresh air. You can't categorize these guys into any particular genre. All I know is that I look forward to their next release and I hope they come to the states soon!
Jaw-droppingly good
author: Katie BNothing could be better than seeing Nizlopi live, but if you can't manage that then this CD is a close second. Entirely undefinable music, and all of it brilliant.
Half These Songs Are Classics
author: johnnyjohhnyjohnnyJCB is probably the best song about paternal love ever. Like Butterfly Kisses with none of the saccharine. It's also blindingly original - a melange of folk, pop and hip hop (as imagined in the mind of a British white kid). This should be a massive worldwide hit like White Town Your Woman or Gary Jules Mad World. Girls is just lovely - for all the Damien Rice lovers. Call It Up is an anthem for all the '60s Van Morrison lovers (and who isn't). Freedom is a work of true class that will make you fall in love with the vocalist if you haven't already. He is a poet and a performer - and there are all too few of those in the current musical climate.
