NK's Rock My World is an experience to be relished and has been described as' fresh' and 'inspirational' by the
shmufm crew. Growing up, she listened to pop singers like Michael Jackson, Shalamar, Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie, Sade, Whitney Houston, TLC and various artistes across different genres of music, NK has developed an ear for pop music which she believes is relevant to the times. This influence can be heard in the pop sounding All the Way and the blended dance track You Rock My World. The lyrics of her self penned songs show her heart of worship and what she was experiencing when she wrote the songs. The mood of the album is upbeat and captures NK’s energetic personality whilst also showing a vulnerability that comes from an intimate relationship with God. A ballad, See You Through, with soul piercing and reassuring lyrics and the acoustic lovers’ Only You, add the “calm” spice to the album.
Through this album, NK invites you to experience a different world and wraps up the album with the following statement ‘God excites me. He rocks!!! I would love listeners to experience the excitement I feel which I have tried to capture in the lyrics and music.
