"Blood & Rust" is Nick Evans Mowery's follow-up to his 2004 debut release- "30 Yrs Gone". Closely compared to early Bob Dylan, this collection of tracks exemplifies NEM's ability to change genres at the drop of a dime. (Folk/Rock)

Album Notes

As the CD insert states...this is as raw as it gets!

In a world full of computer generated pop/rap/dance/hip-hop/who needs musicians...Nick Evans Mowery releases 12 new tracks of down-home, Acoustic Folk/Bluegrass that could closely be compared to early Bob Dylan! Go figure!

"Blood & Rust" includes fan favorite- "Dylan's Ride Home" which has been reviewed by fans from around the world.

Also included-"Road To Arlington" which would best be described as a tribute to those currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces in IraQ.

If you like sitting on the back porch, drinkin' a beer and listening to good music- "Blood & Rust" is well worth the funds!

All music was written, performed and recorded by Nick Evans Mowery at Tangent Boy Studio in Las Vegas, NV. Copyright/Published by Nick Evans Mowery 2005

This album is a MUST HAVE!
author: Highlands 100.7FM Australia- Tony Bates
This album is a MUST HAVE! Being somewhat Dylanesque in composition, this album stands very much on its own merit. I feel it falls into the catergory of Nu Folk, but does that really matter? The vocals, lyrics and production are outstanding and Nick gives it his all, without going overboard. Under no circumstances should this album be listened to with friends, as it is highly contagious! Blood and Rust is so fresh, that if it were a fruit one's lips would be smacking with relish. Listen, take it in and purchase!

Beautiful songs!
author: Massimo Ferro- Radio Voce Spazio(Italy)
There is not doubt that Nick is strongly influenced by Mr. Zimmerman and the great tradition of urban folk song movement but he is also a great tunesmith and an excellent singer. And "Blood & rust" is a fine including so many beautiful songs! I just started playing it in my radio show of American roots music at Radio Voce Spazio yesterday, as you can see from the alleged playlist: "Dylan's Ride Home" was the first song on air as it seems to me that it is not only one of the best of the whole album but also a sort of manifesto! More songs from "Blood & Rust" will surely follow on air in the next weeks of course.

Seems like a biographical CD - raw, passionate and very personal.
