Vegas-based singer/songwriter who knows how to compose a catchy pop hit
author: Las Vegas City Life Magazine- JARRET KEENE
Nick Evans Mowery is a Vegas-based singer/songwriter who knows how to compose a catchy pop hit. "Sticky Fingers" is a Steely Dan-inspired piece of jazz-pop, while "Better Days" drives the same stretch of Hollywood Boulevard rock as Sheryl Crow. Mowery, however, gets a tad too daring with what sounds like a Killers knockoff, "Smile Cuts Deep," a synth-fueled slab of New Wave. Still, it's a cool tune. Other highlights include the power ballad "Never Walk Away" -- perfect for Aerosmith -- and the hard funk of "Changes." Versatile and varied, Mowery possesses serious songwriting talents.
