COTTON MILL BLUES

The New North Carolina Ramblers are considered by many to be one of the great old time rural country bands. Individually great musicians, collectively they are even better. Their renditions of the traditional songs from their birthplace, the Viriginia/North Carolina Piedmont, are compelling and powerful. Kinney summed up their up perfectly as they finished "Rodes Division," a tune named after a great Confederate general, “That’s a song you could march to Gettysburg on.”
