Album Notes

After two successful solo albums, in addition to producing two of the most experimental records ever, NNMaddox returns with easily his strongest effort.

Pepper Shaker is to the new millenium what The White Album was to the 60s, what Hunky Dory was to the 70s, and what every Velvet Underground and Stooges record is to the manufactured garage rock dominating the Billboard Modern Rock charts. Quite simply, Pepper Shaker is the greatest Lo-fidelity recording since ? And The Mysterians cried their 96 tears and The Kingsmen sang about a lovesick Jamaican sailor pouring his heart out to a bartender named Louie.

It's pop, it's rock, it's jazz, swing, blues and funk. It's experimental, yet commercial, simplistic but baffling. You could have written these songs. Luckily, for NNMaddox, who plays every note on Pepper Shaker, you didn't.

From the struggles of surviving in Spanish Harlem in "Pepper Shaker" and "'Become Your Dream'" to straight-forward love songs like "Since You've Been Mine" and "Shipwrecked!"

Find out for yourself.
