Biography
Noah Gabriel, singer, songwriter, and guitarist, was born in 1983 in Aurora, IL. His influences range from the guitarists Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Chris Whitley, and David Gilmour, to the songwriters, Amy Mann, Adam Duritz (Counting Crows), Stevie Wonder, Prince and many others. Bandmates Gary Belniak (co-producer), Tim Politte and Michael Addyman are all schooled and seasoned musicians that have been playing professionally, touring the states and the world with their various bands since the 70's. Their various backgrounds include bands such as The Byrds/Young and Younger, Michael McDonald, Shadows of Knight, Tyrant, Acousticity, Dave Mason and others. The band was put together in 2003 when Noah was doing the pre-production work on his album "In Aurora," and is still together. And although there's a slight age gap, it means nothing to them... they are brothers in music and continue to wow new audiences young and old wherever they play.
Noah Gabriel began his music career playing guitar at the age of 7. By the age of 12, he was playing in talent shows and at local parties. During this period of his life, the "grunge scene" was becoming popular, but Noah saw a video of Stevie Ray Vaughn that took his music in a different direction. He began playing the blues and experimenting with jazz. This took him from playing fast and hard to what music is all about - heart and soul. For the first time, he was writing songs that had meaning to him.
Advancing from public school into a military high school deepened Noah's passion for music. Finding himself at a new school and without his previous friends, he dove head first into his music, playing guitar from the time he finished his homework until the wee hours of the morning. His musical talent gained him inroads to friendships with other musicians, and he began playing in bands at parties and school functions.
In the past few years, Noah has expanded his love for music even further. He had added bass guitar, piano, banjo, and singing to his list of musical talents. Noah started singing at the age of 17 and has combined singing and playing the guitar ever since.
In the spring of 2004, Noah was introduced to producer/guitarist Gary Belniak. Gary, a veteran of the Chicago music scene, was inspired by the young man's songwriting, musicianship and dedication to his trade. A band was assembled with other Chicago musicians including Tim Politte on drums, Gary Belniak on guitar and Michael Addyman on bass (this band continues to be Noah's live band). These musicians formed the nucleus for the production of Noah's first CD release, "In Aurora" along with keyboardist Bobby Scumaci, bassist Ed Cain and Amber Lee on viola. Craig Whitaker and Gary Belniak engineered the recordings, mixed and mastered at Uptown Recording in Chicago. The end result is a real piece of magic and is already getting airplay on FM stations from the midwest to Europe and beyond.
Noah's prolific songwriting has produced over a dozen new songs which will be on his second CD to be released this fall.

I'm jealous of such mature songwriting at his age...
author: Greg Boerner - Musician
Noah's a wonderful, young (dang!) guitar player and singer with a great band. I would have killed to have written songs with such depth in my early twenties...hell, I'd kill to write 'em in my thirties! I look forward to CD #2!
