As their initiation album, The Nobles have filled the Lost to London EP with a wide range of musical tastes. From sexy electronic rock in "I'm That Boy About Town You've Heard Of" to acoustic hummings in "Dart" to an overall mindfuck from "Celery Song" there's something for everyone.
"... The Nobles, a quartet ... that rotated through guitar, bass, drums, keys, and hand drums. They played an airy, diverse mix of modern-day art-pop, vintage psychedelia and a touch of the just plain bizarre. While their first song (Clay Chicken) reminded me of Radiohead or Coldplay, their second (I'm That Boy About Town You've Heard Of) transformed the stage with its fuzzy lead guitar and funky percussion. It had a Vintage Kraut Rock or San Francisco sound, and it paved the way for the full-on Zappa-esque freak-out that was "The Celery Song." (Celery Song) With dissonant electric piano, bass, drums and surreal vocals evidently addressing the wrongs of bad restaurant service, it was truly the most original song of the day."
