Album Notes

Fifteen Songs.Three songs each from five of Philadelphia's best .Two originals and one cover and No Electric Guitars.

Frank Brown-Flight of Mavis,Buzz Zeemer
Dave Bielanko-Marah
Rich Kaufmann-Rolling Hayseeds,Electric Love Muffin
Mike Brenner-John Train,Slo-Mo,The Low Road
Gerry McGoldrick-Solid For Sixty,Napalm Sunday,
Emily Valentine

"The originals are startling:Mike Brenner yowls like a displaced bluesman on the dobro-spiked 'One True Love',Gerry McGoldrick(Emily Valentine)shadows the early Stones on 'Take My Place',and Bielanko generates a sexy powerfully humid drone on a 'Long Hot Summer'.The covers get even stranger with Bielanko's reimagining Springsteen's 'Streets of Philadelphia' as a bloodshot hoedown."
Tom Moon-Philadelphia Inquirer 1/99

"And it's all very cool"
Kevin Hawkins-No Depression 7/99

I'm a Marah fan, so no prizes for guessing why I bought this. Love the Dave Bielanko tracks, but now I wanna hear more music by the other guys......Oh cruel fate, why do you bring me so much good music !!!
