Album Notes
With her new single Zombie Girl, Noelle Picara takes her raw, no-apology piano rawk to the next level. Embodying the zombie persona, she asks the question, "what if someone killed you and left you for dead, but instead of dying, you rose up to become something powerful and terrifying?" The Zombie Girl gives survivors of sexual assault, abuse, war, and any kind of a trauma (which is all of us) a space to wear those wounds on the outside. Similar to Noelle's song "Scars I Own," from the Realer Than Reality EP (2011), Zombie Girl exposes open and bleeding wounds, rather than healed scars, and pushes the boundaries of feminist rock with a sensual and disturbing aggressiveness.

Produced by John Faye and engineered by Brett Talley in Philadelphia.
