Noel Shannon comes from Cork in Ireland. His first infkluences were in Irish traditional music, and it was in Cork that Noel began with his first live performances in 1984.

After several years playing around the live circuit in Cork, Ireland,playing "part - time"and holding down a day job; Noel moved to the Netherlands in 1992.

Since 1993 Noel has been performing as a "full-time" musician, and over the years has performed on the live circuit in Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Finland.

Since 1998 Noel has been exclusively based in Holland performing there weekly.After a few small Cd projects, the most recent Cd, and the most serious to date, "Best Foot Forward" was finally produced privately in 2001.

The cd features Noel's own songwriting talent as well as "borrowed" material from some other unknowns, and with a flavour of some traditional irish folk.
