Album Notes

If you're tired of the copycat, watered down music on corporate country radio and ready for music that will bring an audience to their feet in applause, their knees in prayer, and their wallets to buy another beer to cry in all in one set, welcome to the world of No Evil.

Since Telisha and Doug met when they were in their teens, there hasn't been a time that they haven't been playing music together. Now fourteen years and countless bands later, No Evil has emerged with the passion and energy of a true calling.

Telisha and Doug, now married and living in Southwest Virginia, make up the core of the group playing what they describe as fuel-injected folk. Both Telisha and Doug are accomplished players and singers. Telisha's crystal-clear voice can float like a butterfly on a mountain breeze or thunder like freight train, and Doug's guitar playing lays the perfect foundation for either.

With endless touring miles and a self titled record under their belt, the duo is now busy working on a second release with a stellar group of musicians. (They're keeping quiet on exactly who, but the amazing Miles Wilkinson is producing!) The target date for setting this one free is Fall of 2005.

"I'm excited about this record," says Doug, "It's very honest, almost raw. Some of these songs come from pretty shadowy places." Of course, it isn't all dark and depressing, "There are a couple of happy songs! Even a love song, and it's honest, too!" notes Telisha.

As excited as Telisha and Doug are about the new record, live shows are their true passion. They both have contagious energy and inviting, open personalities. After just a song or two at a No Evil show, first timers feel like old friends and part of the family.

The past year has seen a lot of doors open for No Evil, and 2005 looks to be even more promising for the duo. There is a strong sense of urgency and purpose. Doug and Telisha are looking forward to touring and traveling as much as possible for the remainder of the year and beyond in support of the new record.

RUN...don't walk to get this CD!

From the sultry, lazy sound of 'Summertime' to the very sassy 'Walkin Away', there is something for everyone in this CD. 'Bumper to Bumper' makes a great 'driving to work song' and you can't help but take a closer look at our society with 'No Evil'. Just good folks, playing really good music to incredible lyrics....what an amazing combination!!! These guys are goin places...mark my words!

I'm selective about what CD makes the BIG CUT...that is - in my car as I go about my daily business. I love the No Evil CD! Each song has meaning, and I enjoy singing along with this talented trio. The music itself is stirring, but the unique lyrics are what grip me.

Three talented musicians & songwriters make for a very enjoyable CD. Catchy tunes have you singing the songs after the first listen. True experiences put to music can touch any aspect of what you may have been through yourself. Can't wait to hear more of these guys!
