Cleveland, Ohio is best known as an industrialized city whose main export is steel. It is then only fitting that such a city produce the industrial/metal act known as Noise Gate.
Noise Gate's sound blends many different styles with a large dose of attitude, summed up by one writer as..."Whipping up atmospheric keyboards, gnarly metal guitars, drum machine trench warfare and angst-ridden...vocals"(Cleveland Scene Magazine). Refusing to be easily "pigeon-holed" into one category, Noise Gate is not afraid to delve into punk, alternative, funk, and goth music influences as well as their metal and industrial roots.
Noise Gate was originally the brainchild of singer/multi-instrumentalist Neil Hess, who recorded the first Noise Gate demo in 1998, teaming up again shortly thereafter with former fellow Talamasca member Bassist/keyboardist Dave Behrens. Drummer Dan Gidycz rounds out the bands current line-up.

Good efort at an unutilized sound.
author: Bluefelix
The mix of sounds that Noisegate has brought to their sound is an awesome mix. From metal to industrial to ambient all the way to 60's physcadellic ( Narrow Way). The only area that needs work are the vocals, they sound strained and dated, this could be the lack of good recording equipment, but still needs work. But well worth a listen or two.

Kickass metal from cleveland
author: Ap Magee
Excellent, original heavy metal from the pits of cleveland, ohio. The mixing of different styles of music (metal, industrial) is perfect without getting too far away from the metal. Can't wait for the new stuff!!! It's even better. I heard some advance.
