ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
NOMAD ORIGINALLY FROM NEW ORLEANS STARTED RAPPING IN 1999 WHEN ENCOURAGED TO DO SO BY FRIEND AND FELLOW CREW MEMBER AT THE TIME. AFTER WRITING LYRICS AND COMPOSING SONGS WITH OTHER MEMBERS OF HIS CREW, NOMAD FOUND HIMSELF NOT HAPPY WITH THE GROUP OR THE SITUATION HE WAS IN. FELLOW GROUP MEMBER BIG HORN (EMCEE/PRODUCER) AGREED WITH NOMAD TO LEAVE THE CREW AND START A NEW ONE DUE TO THE LACK OF COMMUNICATION AND MOTIVATIONAL SKILLS OF WRITING AND RECORDING DISPLAYED BY OTHER MEMBERS.

IN 2001 MID-SOUTH MUSIC WAS BORN. NOMAD AND BIG HORN ALONG WITH 3-D FORMED THE GROUP TRIAD. STRAYING AWAY FROM THE TRADITIONAL FLAVOR OF HIPHOP USUALLY PRESENTED BY NEW ORLEANS ARTISTS,TRIAD MEMBERS WROTE, PRODUCED, AND RECORDED A HARDCORE HIPHOP FULL LENGTH ALBUM ENTITLED "CREATION." THE ALBUM WAS RELEASED INDEPENDENTLY BY MID SOUTH MUSIC MEMBERS. DURING THE RECORDING OF THE "CREATION" ALBUM, NOMAD WAS RECORDING TRACKS FOR HIS SOLO DEBUT. UPON COMPLETION OF OVER 30 SONGS, TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES WITH RECORDING EQUIPMENT HALTED THE SOLO DEBUT. THE ANTICIPATED RELEASE DATE OF WINTER 2004 WAS PROLONGED INDEFINATELY. AFTER RETRIEVING ALL DATA THAT WAS LOST, NOMAD BEGAN MIXING AND MASTERING ALL RECORDED TRACKS. BEFORE COMPLETION OF THIS PROJECT NOMAD WAS THROWN YET ANOTHER OBSTACLE TO OVERCOME. HURRICANE KATRINA POUNDED THE SHORES OF THE GULF COAST IN 2005 LEAVING NOMAD RELOCATING TO THE MIDWEST WHERE HE CURRENTLY RESIDES. AFTER CONNECTING WITH MARC KEMPF OF LONG RANGE DISTRIBUTION, NOMAD THEN CONTACTED DJ POLARIS OF FORT WAYNE , INDIANA TO MIX AND MASTER THE LONG AWAITED ALBUM. IN 2006 UPON COMPLETION OF THE ALBUM ENTITLED "THE BUTCHER", NOMAD PRESENTS 13 TRACKS OF RAW AND UNCUT , SICK AND EXPLICIT CONTENT FEATURING ARTISTS CALIGULA, BIG HORN, 3-D, DJ QUICKIE MART, DJ POLARIS, AND RACHEL LURIA.

NOMAD IS CURRENTLY WORKING ON A NEW PROJECT CALLING ON BIGHORN, CALIGULA, DJ POLARIS , AS WELL AS OTHER ARTISTS FROM THE MID SOUTH TO THE MIDWEST TO TAKE PART IN THE PROJECT. NOMAD PROMISES TO HAVE ANOTHER FULL LENGTH ALBUM EVEN SICKER THAN THE FIRST TO BE RELEASED LATE 2006. NOMAD WILL ALSO BE FEATURED ON VARIOUS ARTISTS ALBUMS RANGING FROM THE MIDWEST TO THE MIDSOUTH.
