They perform as a duo - they record as a band.
Guest musicians are:
New York City trumpeter Tim Champeaux of the Toasters.
Wallflowers member Greg Richling who provided bass and drum sounds.
Their main instrumentation of acoustic and electric guitars, banjo and lapsteel are layered into reverbed settings. Some songs are deeply layered in a full band setting while others feature sparse instrumentation and vocals.
Lyrically there are stories told , straight ahead insights, and non-traditional metaphors varying from tune to tune. Musically it is hook laden and melodic.
The songs are not from left field, nor from the center, they're catchy yet thoughtful. The cd provides for new discoveries with each listen.

These guys definitely have a unique thing about them. Their live shows are energy and there are only two. The disc is full sounding and points the band in a few possible( all of them good) directions.
