ABOUT THIS ALBUM


Album Notes
This is my second CD. Run Away With Me has been an amazing, long and sometimes frustrating journey. I started writing these songs when I was 15 and they represent my joys, sorrows, hopes and dreams. Each one of these songs has a special story and memory that will forever be in my heart. The first two songs were recorded on my first trip to Nashville and features Nashville's finest. First Heartbreak finished in the top 20 out of 700 songs in the Great Lakes Songwriting Contest.
I also filmed a home music video for the title track. Check my website www.NoraCollins.com

I am a 2011 Wisconsin Area Music Awards "Rising Star" nominee. My songs get played weekly on our local country music station. I've been featured on 3 local TV stations and my video for "Don't Slow Down" from my first CD placed in the Sweet 16 on CMT's Music City Madness.

"For a singer who still has a year to go in high school, Brookfield's Nora Collins displays impressive songwriting maturity on her second full-length album. While the songs' themes fit the expected life experiences of a 17-year-old (young love, first heartbreak), Collins explores them in playfully written lyrics and country melodies. "Run Away With Me" is a diverse package that reveals much promise for Collins' future. The title track is a layered, rolling pop tune that showcases her upper register. In "Dimples Filled With Lies," Collins confronts a lover who's done wrong, and in the soft acoustic guitar tones of "Sweeter," she sings through the seasons of devotion. "
