This Ep ' I'll Never Let You Go' is from a compilation of four songs from my 'heart of Stone'album that will be released this summer. I'll Never Let You Go' and 'It's True' are two of those songs.They are slow and sensual and a ladies favorite.I wrote the songs for the album with the concept of a beautiful english lady I met while touring england with 'Barry White'.We met again when I moved there and were performing with a reggae singing group called'The Chosen Few' and again with 'The Funkmasters'.The lady in question's name is Carole Chevannes for the song 'Lady ''C'. 'Lady'C' was the first song written for the album 'Heart of Stone'.Even though our relationship didn't last ,the music lives on .'You're So Special' and 'Lady 'C' has a more uptempo beat more of a Popish / New Jack Swing feel to dance to.I took more time with writing the lyrics to say what I wanted to say.'Penny Ford' friend and backing vocalist for 'Chaka Khan', Johnny Gill',Snap', Jazzy 'B' & 'Soul to Soul' .Her beautiful voice is gracing most of my album ' Heart of Stone'. You'll hear her backing vocals on all of these songs on this Ep. I would like to thank Mel Steinberg for his sax work and friendship & Bob Drake for the engineeringof the music.
