North Of Malibu is an instrumental surf band from up near the Sonoma Coast in California. We play surf in the vintage style using period correct equipment...mucho reverb pushed through Fender Dual Showman Amps...Cranked! "Impact Zone" features six originals and six covers of surf classics. We are very excited about this cd and hope you enjoy it. " my review.....this is what is heard by my ears as I listen to your new cd...The overall sound is very balanced, the drums are placed right where they should be in the mix, everyone is playing well balanced and in perfect meter...That is a crossing in itself..it is very difficult to get and capture a good mix in overall sound when one records. That in itself, has always been my biggest pet beef, but as I listen and enjoy this cd, it is recorded and performed so well that it brings back memories of my early surfing days..Brother Dick Dale".
