Awesome!!! Wish I knew of it sooner!!!!!
author: KatLoved it from the first guitar lick. Amazing, amazing guitar. A perfect blend of blues and rock. I love it and can't stop listening. Great job Donnie!!!
This CD, simply titled "Urban Rhythm" is very professional from the get go.
author: Bob Donovan Alternative News Magazine Boston MA,I've known Donnie for about 15 or so years & he has done nothing but improve since the last time I saw him play. He was incredible then & he's phenomenal now! Another heart & soul performer, Donnie's guitar parts shine throughout each & every song. This is some incredible blues guitar work that you can really feel right through to the bone! My favorite track is the bluesy solo acoustic slide track titled "Pretty Blue". However there are several awesome numbers on this 7 song release. As I said previously, this is a very professional release through & through. From the packaging, (photos courtesy of legendary Boston rock & roll photographer Ron Pownall) to the talent it releases on your stereo! Any blues/rock fan with a love for great music & pure talent would love to have this CD & it would make a fine addition to your collection. The Donnie Noyes Project is made up of, Donnie Noyes: electric & acoustic guitars & vocals. Tommy Belliveau: electric bass, & John Kinsman drums. All songs on Urban Rhythm were written by Donnie Noyes.
Great CD
author: MarkGreat playing and songs to match. I only wish the CD was longer on playing time.

Fantastic !!
author: Karl Russo , Boston Soundcheck MagazineDonnie Noyes' musical ability can be summed up in one word, fantastic! Mixing blues, rock, and funk with Southern R&B as the musical backbone.Noyes delivers a collection of top-notch music on "Urban Rhythm" akin to SRV. While adhering to his roots of blues & soul he keeps the listener surprised as each track leans toward one of the styles mentioned above as in the instrumental, "Southern Feeling", offering a southern rock edge. With this track, Noyes is relentless in developing new musical ideas with the tips of his fingers. Noyes follows this up with "Get It Together", a much darker selection that still offers some tasty guitar work. This guy knows how to play the blues, funk, rock, and probably whatever else he might attempt.
Funk 'n' Groove Jammin' Rock
author: Mike Gorman - The NoiseUrban Rhythm has had a prominent spot in my personal playlist for some time.Donnie has a killer rhythm style and the songs are just that, rhythm heavy, smooth and melodic while meshing leads in tighter than a singer sewing machine. His songs conjure up images of outdoor concerts somewhere in the southwest in the summer where its HOT.

The Donnie Noyes Project is a crossover power trio & Urban Rhythm highlights Noyes' better than average solo phrasing & inspired lyrics. Best Cut: Southern Feelin', a funk- fusion instrumental.
Fiery guitarist takes his band on a funky rock excursion.
author: Douglas Sloan Metronome MagazineSinger-guitarist Donnie Noyes leads his skilled trio that features drummer, Dana Brown and bassist Jay Coimbra, on a funky hard rock excursion reminiscent of Fla. based rocker Pat Travers. Noyes is a fiery guitarist that spits out blistering Stratocaster inspired licks enhanced with wah-wah, flanger and other assorted pyscho-acoustic devices. Meanwhile his band holds a tight rhythm keeping Noyes well grounded. This energetic effort is a fine debut for the North Shore based band The Donnie Noyes Project and one that will bring him a wider gathering of fans and friends. Good stuff.
