Ned Spurlock is a world renowned hammer dulcimer builder and player. The instruments he builds are played with small hammers and emit a tone that is similar to a piano. It is an ancient instrument that is mentioned in the Bible in the book of Daniel, and is in fact, the forerunner of the piano.
Starting in his home, garage wood shop, he built his first instrument in 1988, then began going to festivals and shows, playing the instrument and demonstrating its beautiful sounds.
Ned's daughter, Rebecca grew up playing the hammer dulcimer with her dad and since she is a huge bluegrass fan and a great player, they decided to record a traditional bluegrass cd together, playing duets.
They hired the nationally renowned band "Cadillac Sky" to play along with the two hammer dulcimers, adding great rhythm and lead tracks with mandolin, fiddle, banjo, guitar and upright bass. They also hired Maurice Anderson to add great dobro licks.
Ned’s recordings are played on radio stations all over the world and are sold in the U.S., Canada and Europe.

I heard this album playing in a gift store in Galtinburg, TN. They were out of copies to sell, so I had to order it. I REALLY like the sound and selectons on this CD. I hope, sometime, to see them perform in person.
