Holy Cow! It's Nashville on the Potomac! These radio-friendly recordings are songs from the heads, hands and hearts of members of the Tysons Corner, Virginia/Washington, D.C. Metro Area NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International) Workshop. This SPECIALLY PRICED collection of 14 original country songs is the cream of the crop from our local workshop.
If you enjoy great country music, then this is the CD for your kayak, canoe, or for your commuter car, SUV or pick-up truck. From honky-tonk ("The Paint's Already Dry" and "Drink In A Dirty Glass") to mainstream country ("Mom She's Looking At Me" and "I Don't Need To Need You") to traditional country ("Don't Let The Doorknob Hit Ya" and "Money Never Meant That Much To Me"), you'll be amazed at how GREAT country music can be. If you're a country singer looking for hot original material, this collection is a great starting point. If you're a country music listener, you'll wonder why THESE songs aren't already on the radio.
These 14 tracks were professionally recorded in various studios in Nashville, and in Maryland and Virginia. The artists are professional demo singers and musicians. This is the real thing from a songwriter's stack of tracks. Hear the song before it becomes a hit!

Capitol Country is Cool
author: Bob Diamond
Many of these songs should be on country radio! In particular, my favorites include the Patsy Cline styling of "I'm Crazy 'bout You," the honky tonkin' two-steppin' "Drink in a Dirty Glass" and the contemporary country of "The Touch of Her Man" with its Don Henley-ish vocal. With songs this good, some of these songwriters are bound for success in Nashville. A very enjoyable CD.
