Album Notes

Nu-Blu is a new band that projects a dynamic new edge while still being grounded in the traditions and fundamentals of bluegrass music. Nu-Blu was formed in the fall of 2003. They have developed a band that will give the audience a new experience, but still stay within the realms of bluegrass. By mixing original material, traditional songs, and pulling in material from outside of bluegrass, they have strived to create a unique, yet driving sound.

Their project "The Grass Still Grows" is a great collection of original material as well as traditional bluegrass songs. "From the moment you place this project in your player, it will be a true wonderful listening experience. You will hear a group of musicians and singers that are rooted deep in tradition, but contemporary enough to stay on the cutting edge that the bluegrass world demands."

Nu-Blu is made is made up of Carolyn Johnson, Daniel Routh, Tim Mendenhall and Wayne Joyce. Special guest appearances by Greg Luck and Zachary McLamb.
"The Grass Still Grows" was recorded at Riverside Audio, Mt. Gilead, N.C. and produced by Greg Luck and Carolyn Johnson.
