Two decades after their 1986 chart-topping hit single took worldwide dance floors by storm, NU SHOOZ reunited to create a new take on a beloved classic with “I Can’t Wait: Unplugged.”
The response was immediate and the band found itself responding to requests for more with its first live performances in over a decade.
The new incarnation of the band is a shimmering array of horns, strings, vibes, percussion and stand-up bass, with Valerie Day’s caramelized vocals out in front. The NU SHOOZ Orchestra exudes an eclectic ”James Bond meets James Brown” mix of soul, jazz, ambient, exotica, world music and film noir.
Now, NU SHOOZ invites its fans for a behind-the-curtains peek at its wild ride through two decades of sonic landscape with the “NU SHOOZ Then and Now” DVD.
“Then and Now” documents the band’s early beginnings and its blast-off to fame in the mid-80’s, and also provides a preview of the NU SHOOZ Orchestra, with live footage from these first-ever live performances.

Interesting and Nostalgic

It was great to see Valerie and John in a video as I had only seen pictures and heard their great music. I'm really glad you are still playing. I also wish you would do an original sound tour as I would love to hear "I Can't Wait' live! I wish both of you peace and happiness.

VG but could be even better

It was great to be able to get this DVD but there must be hoards of us who adore "I Can't Wait" and would be very interested to hear early mixes of this classic and important track. So I was a bit disappointed they aren't present on this DVD where I was hoping to find them. Still overall it is a delight.

I really loved this DVD, and being that John and Valerie are from my hometown makes it all the better. You have to get the DVD and if you don't have their CD's you should get those too. Thanx for making such a great DVD for your fans.
