Biography


Nelson Washington singer / songwriter, began singing at the age of 5 in the childrens choir
at church. The first song he sang was his mother's favorite hymn "We come this far by faith".
At this performance his family his family realized that he had a gift to sing, and could handle
a microphone. Singing in young soprano voice, Nelson took the congregation by storm with
the adult choir and taking lead on most of the songs. New Hope Full Gospel Church is where
Nelson seasoned his vocal talents until the age of 16.

In High School (1985) Nelson joined the band New Dimension where he shared the lead vocal
spot with other members of the band. While performing with New Dimension, Nelson started
writing and performing his own music to the delight of the band and the local community.

During a stint in the military Nelson formed a group by the name of "PMF" (positive male figures).
Duriing this time Nelson as the lead singer of the group entered into many talent shows and
singing contest. Three of the four shows his group placed 1st. While a soldier by day and
a singer by night Nelson was privilaged to sing with the late Roger Troutman at a performance
in Hanau, Germany. Nelson recorded his first
single "Circle of Friends" and showcased his talents for a german recording company "SYA"(struggling young artist).

In March of 2004, Nelson started Nustyle Entertainment & Records, his own indepentant record
label. With this, on June 15, 2004 Nelson released his highly anticipated R&B CD "my story".
Nelson is currently performing and promoting songs from this CD at clubs and local functions.
