Album Notes

Way back in 1988, Noiseville teamed up with Blackout Records to put out "Where the Wild Things Are". A collection of what was going on in our local NY scene back then. It was an exciting time and that is clear on this compilation, which at the time featured bands that were new or completely unknown. Since then, many have emerged as major forces in the NYHC scene. Sheer Terror, Raw Deal (later Kiling Time), Breakdown, Maximum Penalty, Norman Bates and the Showerheads. This album was the spring board for these bands and this scene.
In 2007, this comp had been out of print for years. It was not unusual to see this album selling for as much as $50! It was decided to reissue the album. In the process it was remastered at the Loft (where it was originally put together back in 1988), a new gateefold cover was designed that featured the art from the original booklet that came with the album's 1st pressing. And to help express the power of the music, it was pressed on 140gram vinyl.
Here is your chance to get this piece of NYHC history, limited edition pressing on vinyl, in a high quality gatefold cover. This is the limited BLUE VINYL pressing of this album. It is available exclusively here on CDBaby. When these sell out, that will be it. This album will not be reprinted!! Ever. Last chance
