About Christmas Lights--A New Strand
Badgered by request after request here in Madison, Wisconsin, "When are you folks going to come out with another Christmas music CD?," we finally got our second Christmas CD all recorded this summer and have it ready for you now, just before Thanksgiving, 2002.
And it's a good one! All are original arrangements...most arranged specially just for us, and all are unique...haunting, jazzy, beautiful, or just plain quirky.... We think you will be moved by our sound. You won't hear anything like us anywhere else.
We don't play just Christmas music. We find reasons for joy and the celebration of peace in the natural world of snow and cold that surrounds us here in Wisconsin. Our musical choices reflect our sentiment. If you were to visit our Madison Christmas concerts, you would discover performances that are interspersed with poetry, song, and thoughtful stories.
You know, if you enjoy this CD, you might want to check out our "SCENES" CD, which includes a narration about winter, "January Thaw," an excerpt set to music from naturalist, Aldo Leopold's "Sand County Almanac." Also available on CDBaby.com!

Christmas Lights A New Strand
author: Marlene A. PerryThis is so relaxling to listen to. Very gentle, very sweet. Even though we have heard most of this Christmas music hundreds of times and played in many differnt arrangements before, the Oakwood Chamber Players, add a new demention to this seasonal music. It's just plain "GOOD lISTENING!" They are outstanding musician's.
Beautiful!!!
author: Darnly MotterThis is music at its best. From the first piece to the last, the music transports one to the magic of Christmas and what that means. I will be looking for more from this group.

Christmas music for musicians... or just those who like the finer things in life. You can put away the mouthwash and Tums, as this sparkling, delightful collection of classically arranged Christmas songs leaves no sugary aftertaste and won't cause upset stomach like so much of the processed poppy albums out there. Truly and charming and delicately beautiful, a bright star to light up your season.
Nary a defective bulb in sight!
