Marlon Young, who produced Mahoney's most recent release, "3 Different Views," says, "He's a phenomenal singer, a natural voice. He can sing a song from top to bottom, and in the studio he can literally get the vocal in two or three takes on most songs."

Album Notes

Mahoney's love of music began in his youth, as his mother was the music director for their church in Minnetonka, Minnesota. His first formal training was on drums and by high school he had learned guitar and piano. Soon after he was playing in bands and performing in college bars. Mahoney caught the eye of Jake Walesch, manager for Soul Asylum, who signed him for Pop Sense Records. Under Walesch's direction, Mahoney went on to release his self-titled CD, "Tim Mahoney" (1995), "Now," (1997) and "Live" (1998).

Marlon Young, who produced Mahoney's most recent release, "3 Different Views," says, "He's a phenomenal singer, a natural voice. He can sing a song from top to bottom, and in the studio he can literally get the vocal in two or three takes on most songs."
