Album Notes

A true masterpiece from Grammy Award-nominated singer/songwriter Tim O'Brien.

Inspired by the Irish immigration experience and by Tim's own journey back to Ireland, this collection of original and traditional songs evokes the sense of mystery, the bittersweet humor, and the inexorable sadness that are the wellspring of Celtic music and its Appalachian and bluegrass descendants.

Features guests: Earl Scruggs, Bela Fleck, Edgar Meyer, Del McCoury, Seamus Egan, Maura O'Connell, and members of Altan.

a must own
author: Mark Anderson
I love Tim O'Brien but this is my favorite of his work. The world would be a better place if everyone owned this record. I am not exaggerating. It may be out of stock but do yourself a favor and track it down. Great songs, impeccably played and recorded. Best acoustic record of the decade.
