Tommy Odum


Every now and then a very talented voice comes along, and you just know when you hear it that it is going to make a huge impact in the music industry! This voice is O.D.

Tommy Odum was born in Tuscaloosa, a small town in central Alabama. Singing has always been something that he loved! At a very young age he began singing Gospel and soul in his Grandmother's Church. Inspired by Artists like The Jackson 5, The Temptations, Ray Charles, Marvin Gaye, Prince and many more, Tommy began writing his own songs, singing in local groups and rapping at rap competitions in High School.

Tommy enlisted in the US Army after High School, looking to change his life and scenery. He went on to become a career soldier, but continued to sing and perform whenever he could. While in the Army he joined many groups such as Compozure and 4UZ and was even looked at by LaFace Records at Ft Campbell, KY. But he never found the success he wanted due to the Army's need to move personnel from Base to Base.

In 2001 while stationed in Germany, Tommy left the Army to pursue his music career full time. Since then, he has done many shows in Europe and developed a very large and enthusiastic fanbase. He performed with The Temptations in Aschaffenburg, Germany, as well as several times with Major Game, a very talented rap group based in Europe. He also performed shows with MWR for the Army Families on Bases in Europe.

Tommy, who took the Artistname "O.D." (this nickname is a leftover from his Army days) just currently finished his first Album "On The Other Side", which he independendly produced in the Tunefish Studios in Aschaffenburg, Germany with Rainer Kempf. O.D. is now seeking a label for his unique singing and writing style which parallels, but isn't limited to the lines of Usher and R-Kelly. His style has a broad range that reaches from R&B over to Blues, Hip Hop and Dance.

No matter what the future holds for O.D., he will continue writing and producing songs for his loyal fans, and the numerous artists that value him for his creative writing talent and his remarkable voice.
