DAAT - meaning knowledge - has a definition of knowledge on the cover and uses the hebrew alphabet and tarot's major arcana - both systems based on 22 archetypes, as keys .
Each song corresponds in its message to Ofer's concept of the letter and the card. It is interesting to note that the song of the letter Peh - the tarot card tower showing a tower struck by lightning and containing a hebrew translation of Leonard Cohen's FUTURE was written before sept 11 making this a prophecy. The album also contains a translation of Dylan's TOMMORROW IS SUCH A LONG TIME (song6)and Paul Simon's 50 ways to leave your Lover has become 70 ways to leave the military - A song that prompted the ban of this album from Israeli Defence forces Radio and its subsequent denial of anything done by this artist. Ofer regards Dylan Simon and Cohen as 20th century Jewish prophets and in this Album (2000) was beginning his campaign for a weapons free Jerusalem.

We need more dreamers like him!
author: Eli Marcus
We need more dreamers like Ofer!!!
Ofer Golany is a one of a kind musician and singer from Jerusalem. I may not completely agree with his political views, but I like the way he goes about spreading them around with music. Ofer is a talented musician who has a knowledge of many different traditions and resources. Be it Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, Frank Zappa, and even Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach, Ofer finds wisdom and inspiration in all of them. Ofer is a talented guitarist who also knows how to surround himself with other musicians of quality.
I can recommend this album to those who seek some eclectic, personal and inspirational music from the Holy Land.

FOOLISH DREAMER
author: Victoria Lee Galinsky
Wake up from your dream Ofer. Eliminating the Israeli army BEFORE the Messiah becomes public and makes his BIG debut is Unrealistic, Impossible and Unworkable. Jerusalem WILL become a peaceful city of GOLD walkways and chirping birds AFTER we remove the camel piss from the streets, the sex-addicted hustlers in downtown Tel-Aviv, and the false prophets who build skyscrapers, destroying our rain forest. The hebrews are VICTIMS without the army. As for your prophets: Bob Dylan has dirty fingernails and bad breath. Simon married a young goy 20 years before him and Leonard Cohen eats his boogers.
